WS/FCS provides all of its students and staff with Managed Apple IDs to use with District owned Apple Devices. If you have created an Apple ID in the past using your wsfcs.k12.nc.us email address we will need to reclaim that Apple ID by changing the email address associated with that Apple ID to a different email address.
What is a Managed Apple ID?
A Managed Apple ID is an account that will allow employees to log into shared iPads, collaborate with others using Apple apps, and provides 200 GB of iCloud storage for device backups and data storage. Unlike personal Apple IDs, Managed Apple IDs are owned and managed by our organization.
The WS/FCS managed Apple IDs are created by connecting our Microsoft tenant to our Apple School Manager portal using a process called federation. This will allow employees to log into Apple services using the same WS/FCS email and password that is used for Office365 and WS/FCS Google accounts.
